A month-long campaign to end child abuse, kicked off Wednesday in downtown Erie.
Erie's Crime Victim Center kicked off Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
They invited children from various kindergarten classes, to help them kick off the month-long awareness campaign.
It's all to reach out to children from every age level.
The children planted pinwheels in Perry Square, as part of the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign.
Wednesday's event was also to raise awareness of Erie's child abuse task force, made up of 28 agencies working together to serve Erie county.
