The warmer weather has many people ready to get out on the water.
That's why the Tom Ridge Environmental Center put on a Paddle-Sports Symposium, Sunday afternoon.
Instructors demonstrated canoe, kayak and paddle-board safety.
The event gave people a chance to talk with experienced paddle boarders, meet local vendors and see what's new for the 2014 season.
"With the winter we've had this year, we just wanted a chance to get people out, learning about paddle sports in the area, get them excited about what they can do this summer and learn how to do it safely," said ACA Certified Kayak Instructor, Kathleen Ryan.
Now all we need are the rest of the ice chunks to disappear and warmer temperatures to stick around.
