The PACA performing arts center on State Street opened its doors for an artisan fair on Sunday. The event brought together local artists, crafters and musicians. Visitors could buy art and shop from local vendors. The event also offered craft activities for the kids.
Admission and proceeds from a Chinese auction at the event will be donated to help raise awareness and support for the growing number of people diagnosed with autism.
"Today we're benefiting the Autism Society of NW PA," said organizer Michelle Chylinski. "We want to keep it as an ongoing thing, the fair, this is our third one and each time we'll donate to a different organization from our door donations and Chinese auction and to get everyone together."
PACA plans to have artisan fairs on the first Sunday every other month. Look for the next one June 1.
