Storm Surge: Guelph Handles Erie in Game Two

Posted: Updated:

It was ugly early and often for the Erie Otters as they were thumped at Guelph 7-2 in Game Two of the OHL Western Conference Finals. After the first 20 minutes of play, the Storm led 3-0 on goals by Scott Kosmachuk, Kerby Rychel, and Zack Mitchell. The trio each netted two goals and at least one assist. Oscar Dansk started in net for the Otters who gave up seven goals on 30 shots. Offensively for Erie, they were led by Cory Genovese and Andre Burakovsky with a goal apiece. Guelph now leads the best of seven series 2-0 with games three and four back in Erie on Monday and Tuesday nights.
