A bald eagle is now under treatment at Crawford County's Tamarack Wildlife Center. Experts think the bird was injured in a fight with another eagle.
Workers at the center are now carefully hand feeding the bird, and providing medicine. The bird, believed to be female, weighs 10 pounds, and is around 4 years old.
It was found last week in a yard in Warren. The bird apparently suffered cuts to the talons and a concussion during the fight.
Carol Holmgren of Tamarack Wildlife Center said, "It would appear they locked talons and fell to the earth and this bird struck its head very, very hard because it has signs of a severe concussion, even affecting its vision and balance."
Workers expect the eagle to be treated for several months before a decision is made on possibly releasing it into the wild.
