An area football stand out has pled guilty for bringing one of the largest hauls of marijuana into Erie that police can remember.
37-year old Roosevelt Benjamin was charged with 14 counts for bringing 400 pounds of marijuana to town valued at 1.3 million dollars.

But prosecutors with the PA Attorney General's office agreed to reduce the charges to three, possession with the intent to deliver, delivery of a controlled substance and running a corrupt organization.

The plea agreement would allow for a jail sentence of four to eight years but Judge Shad Connelly is free to sentence Benjamin outside those guidelines.

Roosevelt was a star football player at Central Tech and Clarion University and also starred with Erie's indoor arena football team.
