For the fourth time this year, area nuns are reclaiming a site in the name of peace.
On Tuesday evening, members of the community gathered outside of an apartment on East 27th Street where the violent incident took place.
Back on April 8, 38-year-old Stephon Bibbs was shot and killed inside of that apartment. Bibbs' death has since been ruled a homicide. Police are still looking for the person that is responsible for his death.
During the prayer vigil, his family shared memories of Bibbs and thanked the community for their support.
"I'm glad to see people came out for this occasion," said Bibbs' uncle Thomas Jones. "It's a sad occasion, but we're just glad that we're getting the support from everyone that's praying for us."
The investigation into Bibbs' death is ongoing.
