Sunday marked the opening night for the seventh horse racing season at Presque Isle Downs.
More than a thousand people will stop by the races on opening night. The season kicks off with a $100,000 dollar inaugural stake race, with another $100,000 dollar race on Monday, the Tom Ridge stakes race.
Though there's some big betters in the crowd, there's also plenty of families and kids going just for fun.
"It's exciting and being here and the kids can come, look at the horses and pick the lucky ones, and I pick by name," said MaryAnne Curry, there with family and grandkids.
"I ride horses and I like horses and they're my favorite animal," said Grace Sweet, her granddaughter.
After Sunday, there are 99 racing days left in the season.
