Erie Neighbors Celebrate Mayor's Street Repair List

Posted: Updated:
Erie Mayor Joe Sinnott today announced the list of streets that will be repaired this summer.  113 streets are on the list.

The street repair list was greeted with jubilation by people in many Erie neighborhoods. They've been waiting a long time for their street to be paved.
One such street is Washington Place, between West 9th and West 10th. Neighbors say the street has received a lot of wear and tear.  They say the street is used by many vehicles that come and go from nearby Strong Vincent High School.

Another street on the list is Conrad Road, between East 41st and 43rd.  Neighbor Cliff Cass hoped the roadway would have been repaired last year.

"It's been needed.   It was on the list last year and didn't get completely done.   Maybe this year they'll get it finished," he said.
