A major partnership is announced Friday, with the city of Erie, and UPMC Hamot.
The hospital's emergency medical services division, is partnering with the Erie fire department, and EMS services.
They made that announcement Friday morning outside of Hamot.
As the new medical director of the city's fire department, the hospital will give Erie fire fighters, training, equipment and other resources.
The partnership will help ensure Erie's first responders are as skilled as they can be.
Hamot also donated 10 pulse oximetries, they're devices that will be placed on city fire trucks, so fire fighters can use them on scenes.
