There are glowing reviews for the region's first ever glow run Sunday night. There were neon colors, glow sticks and l-e-d lights everywhere as this family friendly 5K race traversed the campus at Penn State Behrend.
Parts of the course travel through a neon forest, black light tunnel and a laser light shoot. It's all a benefit for United Service Corps a volunteer service organization that sends high school and college students on work trips around the globe.
With 27 hundred registered...the turnout and the costumes outpaced expectations. Angela Magee, Exec. Director of the United Service Corps said, "Erie people just came out in droves to support this glow run, it's something fun and original for Erie. We were expecting 500 people maybe so this totally blew our expectations away."
Organizers say the first ever glow run raised about 20 thousand dollars.##
