Cats Killed in Mobile Home Fire

Posted: Updated:
A woman is displaced tonight, after a mobile home fire in Millcreek.

Flames broke out around 4:30 p.m. Monday, inside of a home at 1425 Wana Drive.  Crews arrived at the scene to find smoke and flames pouring out of the home.

According to a Westlake Fire Chief Rick Schau, it started in the kitchen and quickly spread to the living room.  Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in about 10 minutes.  A woman escaped without injury but at least two of her cats died.

An exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
