Little Girl Attacked By Dog In Millcreek

Posted: Updated:
A dog attack in Millcreek ended with a young girl in the hospital, and Millcreek police are looking to see if anyone's at fault.

It was a frightening scenario for a 7 year old girl,  just after 8:00 Wednesday night.
Police say the girl had been attacked by a neighbor's Pit Bull in the 2900 block of Arcadia Avenue.
Millcreek's Animal Control Officer, Tim Stevenson, says it happened as the little girl and her father were talking to the neighbor in their yard.
Stevenson says the dog owner is a responsible dog owner, the dog was up to date on its shots, and he's investigating whether charges should be filed.

The girl reportedly had bite wounds to her face and jaw, and had to get more than 2 dozen stitches.
The dog is in quarantine for 10 days.
