The path to this prestigious honor is not an easy one. The winners were chosen from 379 Quarterly Leader Award winners who were selected from thousands of nominees submitted by employees. Recipients are honored at a special ceremony hosted by Con-way's CEO Doug Stotlar and his executive leadership team, where they also receive a monetary award and a specially sculptured crystal vase providing lifelong recognition of this highest employee achievement.
Con-way's 2014 CEO Constellation Award recipients are:
Joe Albelo, Director of Sales, Con-way Freight, Sacramento, Calif.: Joe's everyday approach to his responsibilities at work is refreshingly positive. His attitude and commitment to Con-way's core values is inspirational and his personal dedication to excellence has inspired others on the sales team to exceed their goals. Ken Washington, Driver Sales Representative, Con-way Freight, Dallas, Texas: As a Driver Trainer, Ken is a leader in his field. His dedication to his responsibilities is inspiring. He's the first person at work in the morning and the last to leave. He selflessly sacrifices many weekends and evenings to ensure that each of his students get the attention and training they need to succeed as a Con-way Freight professional driver sales representative. Ken personifies Con-way's core values, leading by example to make the roads safer for all motorists.
