The roar of motorcycles filled the air today in both Northwestern Pennsylvania and Northeastern Ohio.
It's the 22nd annual Miles for Smiles poker run, which sponsors the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The run takes participants on a 108-mile journey throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio. It begins at Harley-Davidson of Erie and ending at the Edinboro-McKean VFW.
The proceeds from the poker run benefit MDA summer camps, something that's close to the heart of the Harley owners group.
"The national owner's group, the HOG group, their main charity is the MDA. So our local chapter, sponsored by Harley Davidson of Erie, we choose to support that also," said Tim Mannino, assistant director for Erie Harley Owner’s Group.
Organizers expect to earn $12,000 from today's run.
