A 48-year old Erie county prison inmate is facing charges, for allegedly bringing heroin into the prison, which caused another inmate's overdose death.
Back on May 2nd, a 35-year old inmate died of a drug overdose while at the prison.
A 5 week investigation into just how he got a hold of the drugs followed.
On Monday, the district attorney's office announced they've charged 48-year-old Nathan Howard.
He's facing 5 charges including possessing and furnishing contraband, also drug delivery, resulting in death.
According to the criminal complaint, Howard brought heroin and/or fentanyl into the prison.
No wrongdoing was f found with any of the prison employees.
