MADISON, Ind., June 9, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Rotary Lift and School Transportation News have teamed up to provide school fleet managers and technicians with the latest information about bus lifts, proper lifting techniques, lift maintenance and shop safety. "Lifting Your Vehicles Correctly and Safely," a free webcast hosted at www.stnonline.com/webcasts, will be presented June 24 at 2 p.m. EDT by Doug Spiller, Rotary Lift heavy-duty product manager.

Rotary Lift has partnered with School Transportation News to present a free webcast about the latest school fleet vehicle lifting practices. The webcast will be held June 24 and led by Doug Spiller, heavy-duty product manager for Rotary Lift.

"Vehicles, equipment and repair methods are always evolving, so it is worth it to periodically update yourself on the latest information to get the most out of your shop," says Spiller. "This webcast will bring fleet operators and technicians up to speed on topics ranging from proper lifting techniques and adapter selection to lift maintenance and inspections. These are all important considerations for running an efficient school bus maintenance operation."

The webcast is expected to last one hour, including a question-and-answer session. It is hosted as part of School Transportation News' School Transportation Network series of webcasts. Registration is free and available at www.stnonline.com/webcasts.

Rotary Lift offers a full range of heavy-duty lifts designed to improve school bus shop productivity, including the popular Mach series of mobile column lifts and MOD series environmentally friendly inground lifts. During the webcast, Spiller will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these and other lift styles, including two-post, four-post inground scissor and parallelogram lifts. He will also show how Rotary Lift's patented universal saddle adapter for inground lifts can be used to make proper contact with vehicle frames and axles, while speeding up the setup process.
