State Police are now investigating vandalism at a small cemetery near Mill Village.
Caretakers and neighbors say they have never had problems until recently at the LeBoeuf Cemetery along Mackey Hill Road.
This past weekend vandals tipped over several headstones and broke others in half. The headstones were on graves dating back to the 1800's. Vandals also stole 20 veterans markers and disturbed items on some more recent graves.
Dot Strange said, "It makes me feel sad. They just have no respect. They took my father's cross and busted it all to pieces. They threw his flag into the mud puddle."
Caretaker Heidi Shakespeare said, "How low can people get? I don't understand how low people can get to do this kind of damage. It is uncalled for."
Neighbors plan to keep a close eye on the cemetery.
They urge anyone with information about the recent vandalism to call State Police at Lawrence Park at 898-1641.
