It looks like Erie youths are ready and eager to get to work.
The Erie Summer Jobs and More program is reaching out to Erie county youths, ages 16-21.
About 50 youths turned out to an orientation Thursday, on Erie's east side.
They're looking to explore potential careers, or find summer employment.
And organizers say so far, they're seeing a great need, "We started this program with the idea of serving 100 youths. Now we're looking at a real possibility of maybe the ability to serve over 200 youths," said Chief Operating Officer, John Flanagan. "So we're excited, we're glad to see the interest for the youth side, and the employer side as well," Flanagan added.
There's one more orientation opportunity for youths in west county to look for jobs in the area.
Monday, an orientation is set for Northwestern High School.
