Conneaut Township Supervisors have passed an ordinance that's being met with some public outcry.
Tonight, supervisors voted in favor of a stormwater management plan. The township has been under a court order to adopt a plan by July 4. Supervisors say the lawsuit forced the township to be in compliance with the state's Stormwater Management Act. The act requires municipalities to adopt plans that address runoff from land development, specifically for businesses.
We're told, it will not impact any existing properties, but future developers that violate the ordinance could face a $1,000 a day fine if they are not up to code.
