Cole's First Game Off Disabled list Starts Rough

Posted: Updated:

PITTSBURGH, PA (WICU-WSEE) -- The Pirates fall after a rough start in Gerrit Cole's first game back from injury.

Just hours after his removal from the disabled list, Pirates pitcher Gerrit Cole would have some rust to shake off. In the top of the first inning cole gave up three runs, and two more in the second.

The pirates would make begin to make a comeback, after trailing 5-0, the Pirates loaded the bases and scored on two walks.

Neil Walker then added another run to Jonathon Niese's ERA with an RBI single.

The pirates would not get any closer than that and fall to the Mets 5-3.
