MINNEAPOLIS, June 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ACA International Education Foundation proudly announces today that Michael Davis of Bessemer, Ala., will receive a $5,000 scholarship to help support his post-secondary education. Davis, a graduate of Hoover High School, will attend Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.

Honoring the memories of Robert E. Loomer and Irvin "Dempsey" Mortenson, the Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship is available annually to four employees working within the credit and collections industry and members of their family.  A total of $10,000 is split amongst the four winners.

Davis and the three other 2014 Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship winners were selected from a national pool of more than 70 applicants based on several criteria including an essay outlining the value of consumer credit. The three other 2014 Loomer-Mortenson recipients are Emily Schabel of Westport, Ind., Wynter Novak of Omaha, Neb., and Pedro Olinger of Nashua, N.H.

"ACA International Education Foundation is pleased to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of the 2014 Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship recipients, we are proud to help support their academic pursuits," said Chairman Al Zezulinski.
