In Jackson Center, straight line winds were measured at 83 miles per hour. Trees and branches still littered the town today. One man used his pickup truck to pull down a large branch on his property. Tree service crews from as far away as Pittsburgh have been dispatched to help with the debris. Meanwhile, residents are still talking about the storm. They are thankful no one was hurt.
"When we got the warning, we went into the garage and waited it out until it was over. All we saw was a white ball and heard snapping and crunching and basically that was the end of it,"said Barb Barner, of Jackson Center. Power was restored to most areas of Mercer County as early as last night.
