$122M Jackpot In Conneaut

Posted: Updated:
A lucky winner just hit the jackpot in Conneaut, Ohio, and they may not even know it.

The $122 million Powerball ticket was sold at the True North gas station on State Street, but the winner has yet to claim his or her fortune. It's the second multi-million dollar ticket sold in Ashtabula County in the past two months, and it has some lottery players feeling extra lucky.

"I really do, so I've come to see what I can get out of it," said avid lottery player, Mike Roughc.

Others say, the luck won't last for long.

"No, I don't think it's really gonna hit again," said lottery player Joseph Watts. "I'm just kicking my own butt for not buying a ticket over the weekend."

Even though Conneaut native, Tyler Ardnt has only been a  $2 winner after years of playing the lottery, he remains optimistic.

"To be honest, I'll still probably buy my tickets here," said Ardnt. "The odds of me winning the lottery are slim, slim to none. But I think as long as the right people are out there playing, it'll happen again."

The lucky winner has 180 days to claim his or her prize. They can either choose to cash in, or choose a payout over time.
