Posted: Updated:
88 new State Troopers will be out on the roads of Pennsylvania.

It was graduation day at the State Police Academy in Hershey.

Erie County natives Chad Wagner and Adam Blashock are coming home to serve here.

Matthew Wilcox of Crawford County will also be one of 9 officers in the Erie County troop.

Governor Corbett addressed the new officers, who will serve in 12 counties across the commonwealth.

"Know that your service matters to each and every person in Pennsylvania, that you protect them, you protect your family. You protect all of us," said Corbett. "On the behalf of the citizens of the commonwealth ,let me give you our grateful 'thank you'."

This was the 138th class to graduate since the academy opened in 1960.
