With 125,000 bikers headed to town, Roar on the Shore is expected to bring in millions of dollars to the Erie economy.
This year's event benefits St. Patrick's Haven, but representatives from VisitErie say the event also pumps about $20 million into the Erie economy.
"Roar on the Shore has grown larger and larger every year, it's really becoming more of a nationally-recognized event that puts Erie on the map," said Director of Communications for VisitErie, Chris Pennsy.
Pennsy says restaurants and hotels aren't the only businesses that reap benefits.
"You've also got the local grocery stores, some of the local retailers and the local attractions too, so I think it's really good for the entire area," said Pennsy.
