A small town in a Crawford county is planning to celebrate big this week.
Conneautville is celebrating its bicentennial.

This week, a small Crawford county town will come alive, as hundreds of people will gather for a big celebration.
Conneautville is a small borough in Crawford county, along Conneaut creek.
And it has a lot to celebrate this week.

Founded in 1814, they're celebrating 200 years.
Once a booming town, today, it looks far different than even 50 years ago.

But this week, residents current and past, will gather and celebrate their town during the Conneautville bicentennial celebration.
And those who have lived here all or most of their lives, say there's plenty to celebrate, "Although we have shrunk a great deal it really has a rich history," said June Sowry.
"I was born and raised here and it's a great place to raise kids," said Betty Kovac.
"Saturday is a busy, busy day. It starts at 8 am and there's something going on all day long. It starts with a 5K run starting at the park," said Sue Joslin.

The bicentennial events run Thursday through Saturday. Saturday at 6:00 is the ever-popular parade. For a list of events, visit
