Walking In Black History with the Urban Erie Community Development Corp

Walking In Black History is a Non-Violence Tolerance Educational Program. This year the participants will departure on Monday, July 28th @ 5PM to Alabama then on to Atlanta and finally, Washington, DC.  They will return to Erie on Saturday, August 2nd.

Each year, the Urban Erie Community Development Corporation /E.F. Smith Quality of Life Learning Center takes about 40 students from Erie, PA to Selma, Tuskegee, Montgomery, Alabama & Atlanta, Georgia to learn about the Civil Rights Movement.

Students have an opportunity to visit historical places such as: Rosa Parks Museum, Martin Luther King Center, Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, and many other historical places.
