More than 100 kindergartners across Erie County are getting a hand before heading to the classroom, rom a new "tool kit" created by early education professionals.
The kits were created using Erie Together's kindergarten readiness check list as a basis.
Through the support of Highmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield, 150 tool kits are now ready to be given out across the county, and Wednesday night's stop was in union city.
Educators were posted at every station to help parents and answer questions.
The union city family support center is one of four initial pilot sites.
Others include Erie Family Center, the Fort Leboeuf School District and the St. Benedict Education Center.
