ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Sept. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- HSNi Cares, philanthropic arm for parent company HSN, Inc. (Nasdaq:HSNI), is partnering for the second year with U.S. Fund for UNICEF to help raise awareness and funds for UNICEF's lifesaving work for children as a national sponsor of the 64th annual Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign.

As part of HSNi Cares' national campaign, customers of HSN, Grandin Road, Chasing Fireflies and TravelSmith will be able to help children around the world by donating online or over the phone from September through October.  In addition, for every donation made to support the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign using the HSN credit card through October 15, HSN will match those customer donations, up to $125,000.

On September 26th, HSN will exclusively launch UNICHEF: Top Chefs Unite in Support of The World's Children, a cookbook published by Glitterati Incorporated (©2014) features an unprecedented collaboration of 40 world-class chefs assembled by U.S. Fund for UNICEF National Board Member Hilary Gumbel.  The cookbook features favorite recipes from HSN Chefs -- Donatella Arpaia, Ingrid Hoffmann, Curtis Stone, Ming Tsai and Wolfgang Puck -- and other renowned chefs such as Marcus Samuelsson, Mario Batali, Bobby Flay, Cat Cora and Geoffrey Zakarian.  Only at HSN will customers have the opportunity to purchase a limited edition of the UNICHEF books that are signed by HSN Chefs Donatella Arpaia, Ingrid Hoffmann, Curtis Stone and Ming Tsai.  For each book purchased from HSN on September 26th, HSN will donate twenty percent of the purchase price of the UNICHEF book to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.  In addition, Hilary Gumbel will donate all royalties she would receive to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.

In addition to their traditional array of Halloween costumes for adults and kids and unique specialty decor, Chasing-Fireflies.com will also offer exclusive one-of-a-kind "I Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF" tote bags.  For each tote bag purchased through October 31st, Chasing Fireflies will donate 100% of the profit (no less than 30% of the purchase price) to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.  Furthermore, Grandin Road will be offering Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF boxes, which can be used to collect donations while trick-or-treating, to all customers during the Halloween season.
