Ferrier's True Value Hardware and Fireplace Shoppe opened its doors in the 1940's, and the third generation business is still going strong, selling thousands of different items and providing all sorts of services.
The current manager, Drew Ferrier follows his grandfather and father in running the business.
He says friendly service keeps customers coming back.
He said, "One of the things that is always going to set us apart is our customer service which is probably the number one thing we rely on."
Another draw, the wide selection of products in the aisles, about 85,000 items for sale.
Ferrier said, "Sometimes those niche items don't sell everyday. But when someone comes to the hardware store they expect to find that odd item."
But hardware sales only represent about 50% of the business here at Ferrier's. The other half is in the fireplace and grill shoppe. There is a wide selection from fairly small units to large, elaborate set ups.
