AAA: Gas Prices Penny Cheaper in Western Pa. Compared to Last Week

Gas prices are a penny cheaper in western Pennsylvania this week at $3.845 per gallon, according to AAA.

The average price last week was $3.852, and the price one year ago was $3.790.

Gasoline demand and the cost of oil remained steady over the past week, but the national average is now two cents lower at $3.65, AAA reports. However, the current national average is 12 cents higher than a month ago and four cents higher than a year ago.

Gas demand fell from 8.66 to 8.42 million barrels per day last week, but U.S. crude oil inventories are four percent below the five-year average for this time of year, according to AAA.
