Erie's Own Extreme Couponer

A local woman will be on national TV Wednesday night. She'll be a part of the season premier of the TLC network's hit show, Extreme Couponing.

April Blum has saved enough money from coupons that now, she gives back to the community every week. Through clipping services over the internet and researching specials and incentives in area grocery stores, April's become an expert at saving money. She not only has no trouble feeding the nine mouths in her family, she's found a way to give back. On a budget of $700 a month, April Blum is able to feed her family, serve her church Sunday meals every week, and give to other city ministries. April explained that throughout her extreme couponing experience, it's giving back that is most rewarding.

"We were able to give back to our community. That was the trigger point for us to go to the extreme. We had cleaning products and we were able to take cleaning products to one of the ministries in the city that hands out those kinds of products to people", says April Blum.
