Beeman to be Released from Jail

Erie County Council member Ebert Beeman is about to be released on five thousand dollars bond after spending the holiday week in jail for repeatedly driving without a valid license.

Beeman, a staunch anti-government advocate who does not believe the state has the right to restrict his driving, was jailed the Thursday before Christmas and the holiday court schedule prevented him from getting a hearing in open court until Friday morning.
