There's a new candidate running for Erie County Council. Lisa Austin, an art professor at Edinboro University, has thrown her hat into the ring.
Austin says she has plenty of experience working with diverse groups of people and organizations throughout the county. And, if elected, she'll focus on economic development and term limits.
"I think it's very important is to discuss term limits," said Austin. "I think we need to have a turnover. There's so many people with good ideas in the region, I think more people should have an opportunity to run for office."
Austin is running for the seat currently held by Chairman Joe Giles.
