New information is coming in about the Waterford farm worker who was seriously injured by a grain auger.
A source has identified him as Eugene Sparling.
He's said to be in stable, but serious condition. He lost one arm in the accident, and suffered traumatic injuries to both legs.
The accident happened Wednesday morning at Troyer's growers on Route 97, close to the new KLNsnack foods plant.
57-year-old Sparling got pulled into the piece of machinery that moves grain with a large screw like device.
He was trapped for about half an hour before rescue crews could get him out.
A rescue helicopter flew the victim into UPMC Hamot.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating.
